We have decided that the snow isn't all that bad if we will just take time to play in it. Thus, I made a point to gear up the kids and go outside to play every day. Unfortunately, Kathryn really doesn't like the snow. She is too little to do much, and she took one too many face plants in it and has not enjoyed it since. Usually we played outside while she napped.
We stayed busy with indoor activities too, of course. Grace and Kade always surprise me with how well they can draw and make little crafts. These flowers were for Daddy because he was away in Boston on a business trip.
For Family Night one Monday, we took the kids on the Heber Creeper. We rode past the frozen lake and munched on kettle corn. They were in heaven as we rode along on a REAL train with a captain who punched our tickets
Neil and the kids were psyched when I told them we were having burgers and fries for dinner one night. Surprisingly, they were still pleased when they realized the burgers were made out of black beans and rice! Our fries were just roasted, julienned potatoes, but they gobbled them up! Neil's work does a fitness challenge each month and the task for January was to track everything they ate.
We have been having a lot of play dates with these kids lately, because their mom just had a baby. They used their plastic kid-sized shovels to slide down the hill in our yard. They giggled for a good hour and played so well together. It is awesome having cousins around who are the same age!
