Happy Halloween!

Halloween is so much more fun now that we have a child to celebrate it with. It will be even more fun when our child is awake during all the festivities! In the afternoon, we went to Grant Thornton's costume party. Everyone loved our Wizard of OZ costumes and thought our baby's cowardly lion costume was so cute. Neil made his top out of silver-painted poster board, and a funnel for his hat. He spray painted his gloves and a pair of old running shoes to make a very convincing Tin Man. I wanted to be just as resourceful with my outfit, so I shopped thrift stores to put something together. Unfortunately, everyone else in Provo had the same idea, so everything was picked over. I caved and rented my costume from a local theater's costume closet.
After the party, we visited Neil's grandparents and a few other family and friends to show our costumes off. It was a busy night filled with lots of fun, and Grace slept the WHOLE TIME!
We enjoyed the weekend together as a family. It was very refreshing as Neil has been away on business the last two weeks in a row. He has another two weeks of travel to go, and then his busy season should be over. He has a hard time being away from Gracie and me for so long, because he knows how busy I am with taking care of her while also going to school. Also, Grace is growing like a weed, so every weekend he comes home she has changed again. However, the Lord has increased our capacity to do more work than we thought we were capable of. He is continually refining us and helping us to become better servants to Him. We are grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ which helps us be more unified as a family, even when we are seperated.

What cute costumes! I love them. The tin man looks really good and it's a cheap costume, which is always nice. What's the name of the place where you got yours? Good luck during the next two weeks of Neil being away. If you need help with Grace let me know.
