Our children are so lucky to have Neil as their Dad. He loves them, teaches them, and even disciplines them with their best interests in mind. They each respond to him differently than they do to me. Grace enjoys reading and doing her homework more when Dad is the one helping her. As good as I might be at playing ball, Kade still enjoys playing sports more when Dad is playing with him. Often when Kathryn is sad, she prefers Dad to console her over me. Somehow, he comes up with the best ideas to help teach the kids how to be kind and obedient. Time-outs actually work when Dad does them. My favorite thing Neil does with our children are Father's interviews. He takes each child into his office, one-by-one so he can talk to him about their lives. Then he makes goals with them and says a prayer with them. They always come out of the office feeling so special and loved.
This Father's Day was a relaxed Sunday. The kids were excited to get up early, as is our tradition, and make him breakfast before Church.
After Church, we enjoyed dinner and relaxing around the house. The kids started playing with the clothes and accessories in our closet. Somehow, that turned into Neil wrapping them in a crib sheet and tying his belts around them creating a makeshift straight jacket.
Oddly, the kids thought it was hilarious. I thought it was quite ironic that our #1 Dad was tying up our kids in straight jackets on Father's Day.
