Grace's 3rd Birthday

Ever since my birthday in July, Grace has been planning and talking about her birthday party non-stop. We invited 15 children who are in her nursery class at Church and her cousins her age. We figured only half of them might come. However, all but four of them showed, so we had a HOOT with 11 three to four-year-olds playing in our back yard for two hours. They swam in the trough, played with water balloons, ran through a beach ball sprinkler, blew bubbles, ate snacks, and jumped on the trampoline.Surprisingly, Grace and the other three girls were the ones lingering around the snack table most of the time.

I forgot that kids all bring gifts with them to birthday parties, and Grace had a huge pile of presents to open. Some of the gifts are now hidden away in our closet for a rainy day, because she got a little too spoiled with so many things.
We finished things off with singing "happy birthday" to Grace and eating gummy fish cupcakes. At the end of the day, Neil and I were pooped, but Grace had had the best day of her life.

What a party! It sounds perfect for a bunch of 2- and 3-year olds. That's too funny about the gifts, I think it's a great idea that you put some away for later...
