The highlights of January were a Cabin trip to the White Mountains and a wedding in California. First, the cabin trip. We brought our friends Brad and Julie Anderson and their two girls with us to enjoy a few days in the snow. We played at the lodge on the swings and petted the horses. We also spent an afternoon sledding where we learned that we just didn't dress our kids warm enough, so it was
short-lived. There's no need to own winter clothes when living in the desert, so this play date in the snow was a bit of an awakening for us and our kids.
January Highlight #2 was my cousin, Brittany's wedding in
Temecula, California. She married Jeri
Liu in a beautiful outdoor vineyard. The music was sweet, the food was delicious, and the company was fun.
Jeri really liked
Kade's red sweater. He asked if they could use it as a 'hand-me-down' for when they have a baby boy some day.
Kade did relatively well during the ceremony, and he got lots of attention because he was the only child in attendance besides the flower girl and ring bearer.
