Fall in Utah means lots of festivals and celebrations before the cold hits. The kids and I found a little carnival at Wine's Park in Lehi. They got to ride horses, a carriage and a train for free.
A special thing Neil got to do this month was attend the Timpanogos temple with the Young Men he works with in our Ward. Neil adores these kids, and they think he's pretty awesome as well.
The school had their annual outdoor fall festival where the kids got their faces painted.
Our backyard neighbor has horses. We feed them grass and weeds through the fence all the time. The kids have even given them names. Pathetically, I just met the owner a couple weeks ago for the first time. He is the nicest man, and he offered to let us ride his horses any time we wanted. We took him up on his offer one Saturday afternoon. As is typical, Neil was the horse whisperer and I couldn't get the same horse to go around the arena one full time. We just love having these horses in our back yard, and now that we know their real names, we feel like we have an added bond with them.
Uncle Sam and Aunt Julie finally went out on a date and let us babysit Avery for a couple hours. Kade held her most of the time. He always dotes over her whenever she comes for a visit.
Grace made her this tiny bracelet, but it looks so big on her little wrist.
And....this photo is an indication of some of the sass that is emerging from sweet Kathryn these days. Her vocabulary has expanded leaps and bounds and she holds a strong presence in our home. She wakes up most mornings, heads straight to the playroom, puts on her Princess dress, then comes downstairs for breakfast. What a cutie pie!
After Christopher's little birthday celebration, Bekah, Julie and I drove to SLC and attended Women's conference together in the Conference Center with Mom Andersen. We ate dinner at the Lion House afterwards where we consumed our fill of endless dinner rolls and talked about our favorite things we learned at the meeting. What a fun night!
