Today, Kathryn received a Priesthood blessing from Neil during our Sacrament meeting. Neil's brothers, Sam and Matt stood in the circle to help bless her along with both our Dads, Grandpa Bennion, and Uncle Jesse. It was such a sweet day, as it happened to be Easter Sunday as well. What better thing to do as we are celebrating the resurrection and new life than give our sweet baby a name and a blessing? Neil did a great job. He talked a lot about the peaceful spirit she has brought into our home, and blessed her to keep that same peace with her throughout her life. He also blessed her to be able to recognize, listen to, and act upon the Spiritual promptings she will be given as she grows in this mortality.
It was very special to have so many members of our families there with us. Neil's parents often miss these things as they are away serving in the Carribean. We were pleased they got to join us. And, to have Neil's aging grandparents there to witness their 47th great-grandchild's blessing was remarkable!

And this was the funniest thing! As we were taking pictures, Kathryn started to bust out in laughter. I have never heard her belly laugh like that, nor have I ever heard it since. I think she was so happy to be with so many members of her family that she just couldn't hold in her excitement! It was so cute!

Kathryn looks adorable and you were lucky to have both dad's there! we know how rare that is sometimes! Wish we could've been there. James was sad that none of his brother's could make it Tommie's!
