Utah Trip April 2011

Both Neil's brother and my sister graduated from BYU this April, so we made it a priority to attend. Even though it was cold and rainy the whole time we were there, we enjoyed every minute with both of our families. Some of the highlights were as follows:

• Dinner in the Cannon Center with Neil's family (thanks to James and Shawnne for using some of their meals on us). Oh how we love the all-you-can-eat goodness from the Cannon Center!
• Babysitting Tyler and Mack while their parents went to a doctor's visit for Bond. Grace had so much fun playing with them on Grandma Bennion's trampoline and pretending to fish for trout off the side of it with sticks from the trees.
• BYU Convocation and Costa Vida dinner with the Reicherts at Bekah's apartment.
Kade was tuckered out by the end of the day, and Grandma jumped on the chance to get to lull him to sleep with a bottle.

• Marriott School of Management Commencement for Clayton. We're proud to call him a 'Master' now. We didn't get a picture, because Neil attended the 8 AM graduation alone, and Bate only stayed long enough to march across the stage so he could get back to his family.
• College of Life Sciences Commencement for Bekah. This was the first time in three years the entire Reichert family (Josh and Chloe included) were all together. It was so fun! Sometimes we forget how much we miss our loved ones until we get to spend a whole day together, and then it seems like we were never really apart at all.
Josh and Chloe loved every chance they got to play with Grace and Kade. They met Kade for the first time this day.
• Dinner after commencement with the Reicherts where Dad proposed to Mom again so we could all witness what we didn't get to see the first time, 30 years ago. The proposal was complete with a real, first-time engagement ring and a brochure for Mom's dream 'honeymoon' to Nauvoo which they will do this Summer.

• Games and dessert at Bekah's place all through the night. Grace and Kade got such a kick out of playing with their Grandparents.
• Easter Egg Hunt and Crepe Breakfast with the Reicherts. I don't know who had more fun, the kids finding all the eggs, or the adults watching the whole thing happen.

• Visiting Neil's two mission presidents and attending a BYU Mens volleyball NCAA tournament game at the Smith Field House with James and Shawnne. Neil's Aunt Marcia and family babysat the kids for us so we could have a night out. It was so fun being on BYU campus, remembering the good times we had there.
• Easter Dinner at Grandma Bennion's house with James, Shawnne, Bekah, Grandma and Grandpa. Afterwards, we enjoyed lots of visiting with the David Bennion family, Hatch, and Davis Families. How lucky we are to be a part of such fun, loving, and caring families. Life would have no flavor without families.
